SHORT WAY TO ABSTRACT AND VISUAL COMICS

Because I usually do vispos and asemics in series I was very glad to discover these in April 2009: works of Teemu Manninen in nokturno.fi. After that Troy Lloyd told me about ABSTRACT CO MI CS the blog. Abstract comics has intrested me greatly ever since.

In January 2010 I was invited to collobrate to Piotr Szreniawki's blog "experimental comics" and I have found that blog very inspiring.

I can use my imagination when I'm doing abstract/visual comics and I really like that total freedom. I hope the viewer can sense the movements and three-dimensionality of my abstract/visual comics because those aspects are very important to me. I have also tried to break out the frames in my abstract/visual comics by using for example circles.

Sometimes I use concrete things and photographing in my abstract/visual comics.

Since the beginning I have dreamed about doing animated abstract/visual comics and my resent works are my first tryings in that aspect. I have a very simply animation tool "Microsoft gif animator" so my animated abstract/visual comics are very simply. But perhaps one day I managed to do animated abstract/visual comics in which the movements go trought the panel so that pictures stays in panels and frames but there's a movement which continues and changes panel to panel.
